Ryan Jerzy Red Rocks Mock Show Releases

Modeled after the municipal flag of Chicago, this is Ryan Jerzy's latest release dipicting his love of linoleum block carved printmaking.

The municipal flag of Chicago consists of two blue horizontal stripes on a field of white, each stripe one-sixth the height of the full flag, and placed slightly less than one-sixth of the way from the top or bottom, respectively. Between the two blue stripes are four red, six-pointed stars arranged in a horizontal row.

The three white stripes of the flag represent, from top to bottom, the North, West and South sides of the city. The top blue stripe represents Lake Michigan and the North Branch of the Chicago River. The bottom blue stripe represents the South Branch of the Chicago River and the Great Canal.



Jerzy is currently working on this Mock Show release (above) in homage to Jim Pollock's famous Walking Fish.

Behind her is the dates and cities of entire tour. She is crushing a sedan instead of Shiva. She'd rather be "phishing". She has her backstagepass and her floor bracelet. She's wearing a crystal wrap by SUR. She has this summers ticket stubs with Fenway front and center. She wears a skirt of dead fish. At her feet are Mayan DMT toads. These were often depicted with canoes on their tounges representing the psychedlic trip to the underworld; these toads have cars, trucks and buses.

This is a limited edition run of 100. #'s 1-50 are gone. The first 7 were gold paper with black. The next 13 were pearlized paper with black. The last 80 are a red version on fine art paper.

In her hands she holds a ticket, a nugget & hotel keys. She's looking for a ticket and has a steering wheel and a crystal. Her eyes are blind but she can see through her third eye due to the tab on her tounge.

She holds the Helping Friendly Book or Book of Life in her lap and the DNA double helix is being formed by music notes going into her ears. She is assending to the next phase with the help of the disks around her head : Aliens, Pyramids, 7th Chakra, Age of Aquarius, Quetzicotal. She has contact with the road. Behind - forming out of a double spiral mandela - are fish, turning into lizards, turning into mockingbirds, who fly off to Mount Icculus.

The front is a quote by Beethoven.

On Friday, August 14th from 2–4 p.m., The McLovins, Phan Food and Sully’s Pub partner to bring Phish Phans a great way to warm up for the night’s Phish show at The Hartford Meadows. The McLovins will feature songs from their soon-to-be-released debut album, “Conundrum” as well as other jamband favorites.

Tickets are $7 at the door or click here to purchase on-line in advance for $5.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Foodshare, a non-profit food bank serving the greater Hartford area. In addition, we will be collecting canned good donations at the show.

Bring two canned goods to the show and you'll be entered into a drawing for a free poster by renowned artist and Hartford native, AJ Masthay, created especially for this event.

The event will also raise awareness of Phan Food, a new cookbook of recipes created by Phish fans, for Phish fans. Phan Food is the brainchild of Taraleigh Silberberg (“The Healthy Hippie”) and 'PhanArt' Pete Mason (PhanArt: The Art of the Fans of Phish). The cookbook will capture the creative recipes of the Phish community from the tour lot to the kitchen pot, with net profits benefiting regional food banks in the cities Phish plays in each year.

Ian Millards New Red Rocks Releases

Here is a sneak peak of a new print Ian Millard is working on for Red Rocks. The print is a panoramic scene from the Upper North Lot at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado.

The print was created using 9 hand cut stencils and spraypaint.

Each print is 42" x 13" and hand sprayed on Stonehenge paper. Each of the prints will have a unique color scheme.

Details on the edition size and price will be announced in the coming weeks. A limited number of prints will be released on IansPrints.com and the rest will be sold at Mock Show on August 1.

On Saturday, August 1, from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. at the Sheraton Denver West on third and Union, there's a poster exhibit featuring the work of some of the country's most recognized poster artists. And as an added enticement, the organizers will also be hosting a screening of American Artifact: The Rise of American Rock Poster Art and will have a bunch of prints (including art from Jim Pollock) and other merchandise for sale. Original Jim Pollock Phish Hampton Art For Sale

The Mimi Fishman Foundation is auctioning off Jim Pollock's original Hampton art.

This original hand-drawn Jim Pollock marker rendering was created for Phish’s triumphant return to the stage March 6th, 7th & 8th, 2009 in Hampton, Virginia.

This authentic, one-of-a-kind color conception created on newsprint served as the final concert poster design. This design was produced as a three color, hand-carved, linoleum block, limited edition print of 750 posters which were sold at the three nights of comeback concerts. Hand-pressed on an antique Washington Printers Proofing press in Chicago, the edition was signed and numbered and sold out at the shows.

Jim Pollock has created over 25 hand-pressed limited edition concert posters for Phish in addition to several hundred other illustrations utilized in everything cartoons for the band’s official newsletter, the Doniac Schvice, to other posters, t-shirts, album covers, ticket designs and various related merchandise.
